4th Estate

Founded in Notting Hill in 1984 on a shoestring budget and acquired by HarperCollins in 2000, 4th Estate is one of the most innovative imprints in the publishing industry, with a reputation for producing critically acclaimed and beautifully designed titles. We made history by publishing Hilary Mantel‘s Booker Prize-winning novels Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies, which made her the first woman and first British writer to win the award twice. We are the home of Pulitzer Prize winners Anthony Doerr, author of All the Light We Cannot See and Siddhartha Mukherjee, author of The Emperor of All Maladies.
